I’ve realised something recently.
Most of the things that have genuinely improved my life are not big, dramatic changes.
They’re small.
Quiet.
Almost unnoticeable at first.
But over time, they’ve made a bigger difference than anything else.
And the best part is, none of them required me to completely change my life. They just required me to be a little more intentional with how I live it.
For example, spending more time alone.
Not in a lonely way. Just intentionally choosing to have time with myself. Going for walks. Sitting with my thoughts. Not constantly filling every moment with plans or noise.
It’s something I didn’t fully appreciate in my twenties, but now it feels essential.
Another one is saying no more often.
Not dramatically. Not rudely. Just honestly.
There was a time when I would say yes to almost everything. Plans, invites, last-minute meetups. And while it was fun, it was also exhausting.
Now I say no to most things… unless I really want to go.
And that simple shift has given me back so much time and energy.
Reading again has also been a big one.
Something I barely did before, but now I’ve come back to it in a way that feels natural. Sitting with a book, even for a little while, has become one of the easiest ways to slow down.
And then there’s something I didn’t expect to have such a big impact.
Letting go of things.
Old clothes I haven’t worn in years. Things I kept “just in case.” Items that had no real place in my life anymore, but somehow stayed.
For the longest time, I held on to them thinking… maybe I’ll need this someday.
But the truth is, if I haven’t used something in 5, 7, even 10 years… I’m probably not going to.
So I started clearing things out.
Giving them away. Donating them. Letting them go.
And it wasn’t easy at first.
But now?
I feel lighter.
My space feels cleaner. Calmer. More intentional.
And it didn’t stop there.
I started doing the same digitally.
Going through old phones. Deleting unnecessary chats. Removing duplicate or blurry photos. Clearing out files on my laptop that I don’t need anymore.
Just simplifying things.
Creating space.
Because sometimes it’s not about adding more to your life.
It’s about removing what no longer needs to be there.
Even something as simple as cooking more at home, or putting on music while doing nothing in particular, has started to feel meaningful.
Small things.
But they add up.

Pequeños cambios, pero se sienten muchísimo.
I think that’s what I’m learning lately.
A better life rarely arrives all at once.
It happens quietly.
Through small habits, small decisions, and small moments that slowly change how your days feel.
And honestly?
I think those changes matter more than the big dramatic ones ever did.
